CNN Poll Shows Majority Want All Illegal Immigrants Deported

In a major blow to the open-borders crowd, a CNN poll released this week found that a majority of American voters—56 percent—now support the deportation of all illegal immigrants living in the United States. That’s a staggering jump from 38 percent who supported mass deportation in 2016.

The data comes straight from a network long known for pushing the Democrat Party line, making the poll’s results even more striking. Voters aren’t buying the media spin. They’re rejecting the idea that lawlessness is compassionate and saying enough is enough.

This surge in support for mass deportation comes as Democrats scramble to defend Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a 29-year-old illegal immigrant deported to El Salvador under President Trump’s crackdown on gang violence. Garcia, a confirmed MS-13 member, was arrested by ICE on March 12 as part of a broader operation targeting violent criminal networks like MS-13 and Tren de Aragua—both designated as terrorist organizations.

Despite a 2019 immigration judge’s ruling shielding him from deportation, the Trump administration moved swiftly to return him to El Salvador. The Left immediately cried foul, calling the deportation an “administrative error.” But the facts tell a very different story.

Judge Elizabeth Kessler ruled in 2019 that Garcia was arrested alongside other known gang leaders and that he posed a clear danger to public safety. “He failed to meet his burden of demonstrating that his release from custody would not pose a danger to others,” she said, noting the evidence confirming his MS-13 ties was both “proven and reliable.”

Even after marrying an American citizen while in detention, Garcia could not convince authorities he posed no threat. His eventual reprieve came from Judge David M. Jones, who granted him withholding of removal due to fears of persecution from rival gangs. That decision has now been reversed, and Democrats are treating Garcia like a political martyr.

The Trump White House isn’t backing down. Officials defended the deportation by pointing to Garcia’s gang history and newly public allegations of domestic abuse, which further justify his removal.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) pulled no punches. “MS-13 members have raped, tortured, and murdered Americans in cold blood. They’ve beheaded their victims, used machetes to carry out executions, and trafficked women and children across our border,” she said.

“Garcia invaded our country illegally, broke our laws, and according to his own wife, abused her,” Greene added. “He’s exactly the kind of dangerous thug President Trump promised to remove—and he did. Yet while President Trump is protecting American lives, Democrats are working overtime to bring this animal back.”

Greene slammed the Democrat Party for putting more energy into defending an MS-13 member than standing up for the victims of gang violence. “This isn’t compassion, it’s betrayal,” she said. “This isn’t public service, and it’s dangerously close to treason.”

The American people are clearly fed up. CNN’s poll confirms what conservatives have long argued: the public wants strong borders, real enforcement, and a legal immigration system that puts Americans first. The political elites may scoff, but voters have had enough of sanctuary cities, criminal aliens, and endless excuses.

The numbers don’t lie. Support for mass deportation is no longer a fringe position—it’s the majority view. President Trump’s approach to border security is gaining traction because it’s grounded in reality and backed by results. Meanwhile, Democrats are clinging to the defense of violent criminals as their immigration platform collapses.

This poll is more than just data—it’s a warning to every politician still playing games with border security. The American people are watching. And they’re ready to take their country back.
