Trump Calls Out Zelenskyy as a ‘Dictator’—And He’s Not Wrong

President Donald Trump just said the quiet part out loud—again. At a recent press conference, he called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy exactly what he is: a dictator without elections. And now, predictably, the media and political elites are having a meltdown because someone finally dared to state the obvious.

For years, Americans have been force-fed the narrative that Zelenskyy is some kind of heroic defender of democracy, bravely standing against Russian aggression. The reality? There are no elections in Ukraine. Zelenskyy simply canceled them, claiming the ongoing war as an excuse to indefinitely hold onto power. A leader who cancels elections and refuses to let his people vote—there’s a word for that, and it’s not “hero.”

Where’s the Democracy?

Let’s put this in perspective. Imagine if Trump had suspended elections in 2020, citing the COVID-19 pandemic as justification. Can you even begin to imagine the response from the corporate media? There would be mass protests, lawsuits, and a 24/7 media firestorm screaming about fascism and the end of democracy.

But when Zelenskyy does it? Crickets. Suddenly, the same people who pretend to love democracy don’t seem all that interested in holding leaders accountable—as long as they’re on Team Globalist.

Even more telling is how the media is scrambling to fact-check Trump on this. News outlets are pointing out that Ukraine is technically under martial law, meaning Zelenskyy legally can suspend elections. Oh, well then! I guess that makes it fine? Because history has been so kind to leaders who consolidate power during crises, right?

The truth is that Zelenskyy is running Ukraine like a one-man show, complete with state-controlled media, political censorship, and total suppression of dissent. And yet, we’re still supposed to believe that this guy is leading the fight for “freedom and democracy”?

The Poll Numbers They Don’t Want You to See

Trump also dropped another bombshell: Zelenskyy’s approval rating is in the toilet. According to Trump, it’s hovering around 4%. The media, of course, rushed to claim this is “misinformation,” arguing that Zelenskyy’s approval is actually 57%.

Oh really? 57%? That’s an oddly convenient number for a leader who has jailed political opponents, shut down opposition media, and banned rival political parties. When you silence all your critics, of course your poll numbers look great—because anyone who disagrees with you isn’t allowed to speak.

Zelenskyy’s Days Are Numbered

Let’s face it: Zelenskyy’s honeymoon period is over. The media darling act is wearing thin, and more and more Americans are questioning the narrative they’ve been force-fed for the past two years.

Trump’s comments weren’t just accurate—they were long overdue. A leader who cancels elections isn’t a democrat, and a country that jails dissenters and censors the press isn’t a democracy.

So, the next time someone tells you that Zelenskyy is the last hope for Western democracy, ask them one simple question:

What democracy?
