Walmart, America’s largest employer, has announced that it will be rolling back more than prices in the new year. The company will also be rolling back its diversity, equity, and inclusion policies. This comes after conservative activist Robby Starbuck threatened to expose the “woke” nonsense that’s happening behind the scenes at the company.

Starbuck has been on a tear this year in convincing major brands to abolish their racist DEI policies. Tractor Supply, John Deere, and Harley Davidson are three companies that you would think would never be concerned about racial hiring quotas or transgender parades. But they were! When Starbuck exposed their woke policies, the three companies reversed them to avoid major consumer boycotts.

Walmart is in the same boat now. Starbuck had been preparing a report about the retailer, but when he threatened to make it public, Walmart executives called him for some “productive conversations.”

Going forward, Walmart will no longer finance a “racial equity center” that it had been paying ever since George Floyd’s overdose death from fentanyl in 2020. The company will also no longer participate in the Human Rights Campaign’s annual LGBTQ+ benchmark index.

Walmart has also promised to closely monitor all third-party vendor items sold through its website. They’ll be removing any vendors that sell “inappropriate sexual and/or transgender products marketed to children.” The company will also be reviewing all its “Pride” funding and making cuts. Executives will be banned from using the term “LatinX” in official Walmart communications.

That’s quite a mop-up! The idea behind Starbuck’s boycott campaign against woke corporate policies was generated when Bud Light attempted a marketing stunt with transgender Dylan Mulvaney. Bud Light lost billions of dollars in market share and still hasn’t recovered from the incident. Other companies don’t want to suffer the same fate, so they sit up and pay attention when Starbuck threatens to expose them.
